Fairness on the Job

Busch Holding is one of the mechanical and plant engineering companies to which a study commissioned by the German business magazine Focus Money attests “the highest level of fairness on the job.”

The German Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF – Institut für Management- und Wirtschaftsforschung GmbH) analyzed and evaluated the fairness of working conditions in the 20,000 largest German companies by number of employees. The study was assessed for the German business magazine Focus Money with the help of what is known as “social listening.”*

Among others, 279 mechanical and plant engineering companies were considered. Only twelve of them scored at least 60 out of a possible 100 points, meeting the criteria for excellence. Busch Holding achieved second place among the mechanical and plant engineering companies with 98.7 out of 100 points. Across all sectors, around 300 of the 20,000 companies considered received awards.
We are very pleased that our diverse activities in personnel support are bearing fruit. Busch knows how to respond to the individual needs of its employees, for example with flexible working hours or by providing support in personal or family situations. Likewise, we foster a positive and constructive culture of discussion at all levels, which gives our colleagues a lot of creative freedom. Foreign employees experience warm and professional onboarding with us.

For the evaluation, more than 530,000 online mentions and several million social media sources were examined and evaluated. The analysis looked for the keywords “fairness,” “corporate culture” and “working atmosphere,” published from December 2021 to December 2022. The terms “corporate culture” and “working atmosphere” each accounted for 25 percent and “fairness” for 50 percent of the total.
*Social listening is a method of finding out how people express themselves online about a company, a person, a product or a brand.
