Busch Donates 25,000 Euro to Phaenovum

In 2024, the Busch Group once again funded the Lörrach student research center with 20,000 Euro. This is in addition to its annual donation of 5,000 Euro towards phaenovum’s participation in the international robot competition RoboRave.

The globally active vacuum pump manufacturer is a gold sponsor of the student research center and has been supporting the facility since 2012. In 2021, Busch was one of the two main sponsors in the construction of the phaenovum student observatory in Schopfheim-Gersbach, near the Busch headquarters.

Ayla Busch, co-owner and co-CEO of the Busch Group, emphasizes the company’s commitment to fostering the education of young people: “The phaenovum’s research projects help students develop self-confidence. In the student research center, children and teenagers learn to work both independently and as part of a team, find solutions and stay organized. These are qualities that will benefit them later in their careers.”
With the generous financial support of the Busch Group, we can implement further projects to inspire even more young people for natural sciences!
Kirsten Lohrmann, Head of phaenovum Student Research Center
Phaenovum was founded in Lörrach in 2007. It enables students to research science and technology independently. Its courses mainly include topics from the fields of physics and nanoscience; biology, chemistry and the life sciences; and information technology and robotics. Every year, numerous projects for "Jugend forscht," a German youth science competition, are created at phaenovum.

Social commitment and the promotion of young talent are central aspects of the Busch Group corporate philosophy. Therefore, the company supports school projects and engineering studies worldwide.
