Donation to the German Red Cross

The local association of the German Red Cross (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz - DRK) in Zell im Wiesental has received a donation of around 1,300 Euro from the Busch Group for the purchase of new safety boots.

Charity Soccer Tournament

The 14th Thommy Cup recently took place in Lörrach, Germany: It was opened by the football team from Busch Vacuum Solutions and the team from SC Freibad. At the end of the day, 3,600 Euro were raised for the non-profit organization "streetkickers39", which offers sports lessons to primary school kids in Lörrach.

Busch Group Supports Educational Project in Africa

The Karanjorro e.V. association from Aßlar in central Hesse is committed to creating educational opportunities in rural regions of Senegal. Its particular focus is making it possible for girls and young women to attend school. The Busch Group has supported the association with a donation of 1,000 Euro.

On the anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, the ceremonial opening of two container schools took place in the Turkish province of Hatay. The Busch family, owners of Busch Vacuum Solutions, supported the project with a donation of 100,000 Euro.

Hydrogen Racing Car

Busch Netherlands have provided students at TU Twente, the city of Enschede’s technical university in the Dutch region of Twente, with a MINK MH 0018 A. Thanks to this support, the students, who call themselves Green Team Twente, were able to present their first hydrogen racing car.

Donation for Renovation and Enlargement of Feldberg Mountain Rescue Station

Busch Vacuum Solutions has donated 3,000 Euro to the Todtnau mountain rescue service. The donation will be used for the urgently needed renovation and enlargement of the mountain rescue service at the top of the Feldberg, Germany’s highest mountain outside the Alps.

Pump Donation to the Collège de Delémont

Ateliers Busch and Busch Manufacturing in the Czech Republic have donated an R5 RA 0010 to the Collège de Delémont in the Swiss canton of Jura, which will be used to carry out vacuum experiments at the school in the future. The aim is to arouse the students’ interest in technology.

Busch Vacuum Solutions donated an R5 RA 0040 F to the Formula Student team from the Technical University (TU) Darmstadt, Germany. With this, the students produced components for their electric vehicle.

Faithful Service for 36 Years

An R5 oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump from Busch Vacuum Solutions has been in service since 1987 in the production area of bakery and cake shop Feinbäckerei Ruch. It is still in use twelve hours a day for flour conveying at the bakery in Rosdorf, in the German upland region of Harz.

Cycling for the Climate

Sami and Kaya Busch, along with 30 employees from Busch Vacuum Solutions, took part in this year’s STADTRADELN (city cycling) in Maulburg. From July 01 to 21, they cycled 11,783 kilometers and saved 1.908 tons of CO2 by using a bicycle instead of a car to get to work, for exercise, or on vacation. This has resulted in the company taking second place in the community.

Clean the Bay Day

Busch USA’s commitment to community involvement and environmental stewardship was on full display Saturday, June 3, as a team of fourteen employees and some enthusiastic children joined countless other volunteers for Clean the Bay Day. The volunteers worked together to help restore and protect the Chesapeake Bay by removing litter and debris from its rivers, streams, and surrounding areas.

World’s Largest Relay Race

It has been taking place in Norway for 100 years: the legendary Holmenkollstafetten sports event. This year, 14 employees of Busch Vacuum Solutions participated in the world’s largest relay race. In addition, our branch donated 10,000 Norwegian kroner (around 850 Euro) to an organization that promotes mental health in the Scandinavian country.

A customer of our American colleagues produces fiber for the textile industry from plastic bottles that have been carelessly thrown into the environment.

New Solar Power System Installed

Busch Vacuum Solutions has planned a set of climate protection measures at its headquarters in Maulburg for 2023 that will make the company even more sustainable in the future. One pillar of the concept is photovoltaics. A solar power system has now been installed on the roof of the new systems building hall.

Support for the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief

The trucks are so fully loaded with rescue and recovery materials and goods that there is hardly any space left for the helpers’ luggage. But the volunteers from the THW (Federal Agency for Technical Relief) Schopfheim, Germany, must also be personally well equipped for their assignments, often lasting for days. They have a transport trailer at their disposal. Busch Vacuum Solutions has now funded the structure and tarpaulin of the vehicle so that the helpers’ luggage can be transported dry and safely to the deployment location in the future.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity

She calls it a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity": Stella Nyirenda came from Malawi to South Africa with her family in November 2013 because her parents were looking for a better education for their highly gifted daughter. Stella has been benefiting from an "Ayhan and Dr Karl Busch Scholarship" for the past two years.

Colleagues from 16 Different Countries Work at Busch Australia

Australia is well known for its wide diversity, home to 25 million people, 30% of which are immigrants, either fleeing turmoil from their home country, or looking to move to Australia in hope of a better life. Sydney has the 8th largest immigrant population among world metropolitan areas, and Melbourne has the 10th largest. Melbourne alone is home to 200 different nationalities, 233 languages and dialects, and 113 different religions.

Telford Crisis Support

The five shopping carts can hardly be pushed, so full are they with goods destined for a relief organization. The money for this was collected by a colleague in England, whose campaign was supported by Busch UK.

Donations for a Better Christmas

Fulfilling a wish that would otherwise remain unfulfilled This is the aim of “direct help better future” with its Christmas campaign “Better Christmas”, to which our company has donated. The local organization supports sick or socially disadvantaged children and teenagers who live near our headquarters in the districts of Lörrach and Freiburg.

The project is intended to strengthen primary school pupils by defending themselves against sexualized violence, if necessary, or to confide in someone. The project was initiated by the Lörrach Women’s Counseling Center near our headquarters and has been supported by our company since 2019.

Innovative Technology for CO₂ Removal
