History

1963

Dr. Karl Busch and his wife Ayhan Busch had the dream to revolutionize the vacuum world.
1963

With the HUCKEPACK, they developed the first oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump specially designed for food packaging. A milestone in vacuum history.
1969

Our R5, the follow-up product, soon became the standard in vacuum packaging. Being subject to constant innovation, it is state-of-the-art ever since. Ultra-robust and reliable. With more than 3 million pumps in operation worldwide.
1971

Inauguration of the first overseas subsidiary in the UK.
1981

Pioneer: First German industrial company to start manufacturing in China after the re-opening.
1993

The revolution continues. With the introduction of COBRA dry screw vacuum pumps. They have replaced many other technologies in their field, for example in the chemical or semiconductor market.
1995

The launch of MINK claw vacuum pumps marks another milestone in the development of dry vacuum technology. The next level of energy efficiency.
