Busch Apprentices Visited Pfeiffer Vacuum

Busch apprentices and students from Maulburg recently visited their colleagues at Pfeiffer Vacuum in Asslar. The aim of the meeting was to get to know each other and exchange ideas.

It was an early morning start for 15 apprentices and students who had been invited to Asslar by Pfeiffer Vacuum. After a good four-hour bus trip, they received a warm welcome from their colleagues at Pfeiffer Vacuum and participated in a tour of the production plant and the training workshop. This gave them the opportunity to view the manufacturing equipment and to talk to their colleagues about their training projects. “The meeting laid an important foundation for future cooperation in our industrial training,” summarized Marc Wagner, Quality Expert at Busch.

After having lunch together, the entire group was welcomed by Daniel Sälzer, Managing Director of Pfeiffer Vacuum GmbH, who emphasized: “The close exchange between our companies is important so that we can learn from each other. This applies to our trainees and students in particular, because they are our professionals of tomorrow.” The students from Pfeiffer Vacuum then gave a presentation on their tasks and experience at the company.

For the afternoon, the young colleagues from Pfeiffer Vacuum had organized a “get-to-know-you café”. In alternating small groups, the apprentices and students from both companies talked about their personal interests, hobbies and professional topics.

“The visit was extremely enriching for both sides. We are already looking forward to future meetings and further opportunities for team building. It was a great opportunity to strengthen the links between our companies and learn from each other,” explained Sonja Däumer, responsible for trainee/dual students management and employer branding at Pfeiffer Vacuum.

The next day, the apprentices and students from Busch used the return journey to make a detour to the Museum of Technology in Speyer.
