Cooperation and Service Agreement with Leading Food Company

Busch Mexico has signed a service and cooperation agreement with Sigma, a leading company in the Mexican food industry. The aim of the contract is to increase the company’s operational efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Sigma is one of the largest food processing and distribution companies in Mexico. It produces chilled foods such as cold cuts, cheese and yogurt. The company is committed to driving sustainability and focuses on energy efficiency in order to minimize its impact on the environment while ensuring high productivity and operational performance.

The contract stipulates that 362 R5, PANDA and COBRA vacuum pumps, which Sigma uses in its food processing and packaging plants, will be maintained by Busch over a period of three years. During this time, Busch will introduce central vacuum systems, ECOTORQUE and OO Digital Services.

“The aim of our cooperation and service agreement is to support Sigma in their efforts to improve efficiency and environmental sustainability. Due to the importance of the company for Mexico and Latin America, our collaboration will initiate positive changes in terms of future food production in the region,” says Ulrich Sander, General Manager of Busch Mexico.

So far, Busch Employees have already installed two COBRA central vacuum systems. They are currently determining the best vacuum pump solutions for the other Sigma sites in Mexico.

The company is a subsidiary of the Mexican Grupo Alfa. Sigma has around 60 production sites in 17 countries in Latin America, North America and Europe, and employs over 45,000 people.
