The annual event, coordinated by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, draws together individuals from all walks of life to give back to their community and preserve the natural beauty of one of Virginia’s most treasured landmarks, the Chesapeake Bay. The Bay is the largest working estuary in the United States and the third largest in the world.

Clean the Bay Day
Busch USA’s commitment to community involvement and environmental stewardship was on full display Saturday, June 3, as a team of fourteen employees and some enthusiastic children joined countless other volunteers for Clean the Bay Day. The volunteers worked together to help restore and protect the Chesapeake Bay by removing litter and debris from its rivers, streams, and surrounding areas.
It was great to see people come together locally to help support the environment. Sixty percent of Virginia is in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Pollution travels to wherever water flows. Pollutants end up contaminating our streams, rivers, and eventually the Chesapeake Bay. I’m glad we could prevent this trash from adding to the problem.
All in all, almost 45 kilograms of trash was collected and properly disposed of that day by the team.
