Donation to the German Red Cross

The local association of the German Red Cross (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz - DRK) in Zell im Wiesental has received a donation of around 1,300 Euro from the Busch Group for the purchase of new safety boots.

Rescue missions, medical services at events, disaster control, blood donation campaigns, youth work and care for the elderly: the local DRK association in Zell im Wiesental, a town 13 km from Maulburg, is committed to helping the people in the district of the Busch headquarters in a variety of ways.

The volunteers need their personal protective equipment for their missions, which includes a jacket, trousers, a helmet, and safety boots – but these are very expensive for the non-profit organization to purchase. As their safety boots were already ten years old and no longer met the current requirements, twelve new pairs were urgently needed, which were fully financed by Busch.
At a time when many companies are reducing their social commitment, it is particularly remarkable that Busch is supporting us so generously. These new boots are not only a sign of appreciation for our work, but also an important contribution to the safety of our members. We are very grateful to Busch for this support.
Johannes Thoma, chairman of the local DRK association
The DRK local association in Zell im Wiesental has 28 members, who are mainly active in three communities in the district of Lörrach where the Busch headquarters are located.

The German Red Cross is part of the international Red Cross and Red Crescent movement, which has been helping people in conflict situations, disasters and emergencies for over 150 years.
