Colleagues from 16 Different Countries Work at Busch Australia

Australia is well known for its wide diversity, home to 25 million people, 30% of which are immigrants, either fleeing turmoil from their home country, or looking to move to Australia in hope of a better life. Sydney has the 8th largest immigrant population among world metropolitan areas, and Melbourne has the 10th largest. Melbourne alone is home to 200 different nationalities, 233 languages and dialects, and 113 different religions.

Kurt Porflit, General Manager of Busch Australia, reports on his team:

“In Busch ANZ, we are home to 16 nationalities, in terms of both immigration and parental heritage. We are proud to be able to be part of Australia’s diverse multiculturalism, and we as a company take pride in being able to hire someone on the basis of their skills rather than their heritage. Because we understand the importance of someone’s heritage and value the unique stories of our employees.

We aim to create a welcoming environment where one isn’t afraid to take pride in their culture, and they aren’t afraid to share their story and culture with others in the workforce. With this in mind, we are able to create a harmonious working environment for our employees, encouraging teamwork and collaborative work.”
