Busch Austria Supports Space Factory at Vienna Airport with Vacuum System for Simulating Space Conditions
With the official opening of the Space Factory located within ESA Phi-Lab Austria at Vienna Airport, startups and research institutions now have access to a state-of-the-art environment for developing innovations in the fields of space technology and high-tech industries. Busch Austria GmbH is supporting the initiative with a vacuum system that replicates the environment of outer space, enabling the development and validation of new products under realistic operating conditions.
The Space Factory aims to provide startups and development projects with easier access to professional infrastructure, fostering the development of new applications in the space and technology sectors.

The system provided by Busch Austria consists of a vacuum chamber, a HiPace turbomolecular vacuum pump, a HiScroll scroll pump as well as measurement and control technology. The combination of these components enables the generation of high vacuum conditions required for the development, testing and validation of components that will be used in space.
Components, electronic units, materials or complete assembly groups can be tested under realistic operating conditions in the chamber. The tests help developers evaluate how their products perform at an early stage and make development processes more efficient.
Particular attention was paid to simple and practical use. Users can place their test specimens in the chamber, start the evacuation process and create the desired environmental conditions.
