Girls’ Day offers teenage girls a great chance to gain insight into technical professions and career opportunities. Since 2013, Busch has opened its doors in Maulburg on this day to show female students how versatile and exciting vacuum technology can be.
This year’s participants in the event at Busch were aged between 12 and 14 years. After an introductory session, including a company presentation and a safety briefing, they were given an extensive tour of the company’s manufacturing facilities. The girls were then divided into groups of four and given the opportunity to explore the training workshop, assembly, and systems building areas of Busch. Among other activities, they witnessed vacuum experiments and were allowed to assemble a vacuum pump under instruction.

Girls’ Day at Busch
Busch Vacuum Solutions participated once again in the nationwide German Girls’ Day in 2025. Twelve girls took the opportunity to learn about technical professions at the vacuum pump manufacturer in Maulburg.
With our participation in Girls’ Day, we aim to inspire girls to pursue technical careers and encourage them to follow their skills and interests in this field. In doing so, we want to contribute to reducing the existing gender gap in technical professions.
The day concluded with reports from apprentices who presented their professions and shared application tips with the girls.
