Kids’ Day

This year, our company once again joined forces with other local businesses to organize an exciting vacation program for school pupils from 5th to 7th grade. The annual Kids’ Days are designed to get young people interested in science in a fun way and give them their first insights into the interesting world of technical professions.

Fifteen pupils visited our headquarters on the second day of the program. Under the guidance of our apprentices, they were able to carry out vacuum experiments, build a hydraulic robot arm out of wood, and actively help with the assembly of vacuum pumps in production.
We are delighted about the good cooperation with Endress+Hauser and the durlum Group. With the Kids’ Days, we are offering our employees’ children a great vacation program that also makes things easier for their parents. At the same time, the Kids’ Days allow the children to experiment and discover for themselves whether they can imagine working in a technical profession later on.

A company presentation and a tour of the plant also gave the young guests the perfect opportunity to get to know our company up close. At the end of the day, our trainees spoke enthusiastically about their own experiences and gave the students valuable tips for future job applications. And since such a busy day works up a good appetite, the children enjoyed two delicious meals on site.

This year’s Kids’ Days, formerly known as “Technology Week,” are a joint initiative of Busch Vacuum Solutions, Endress+Hauser and the durlum Group. Our company has been participating in this vacation program since 2018.
