Massive CO2 Reduction
111 tons of CO2 less due to 352 solar panels
The energy savings project that started at Busch UK in November 2021 reduces energy costs and saves CO2 emissions.
As part of our commitment to provide solutions that help make the UK industry more sustainable, we are striving to reduce our own carbon footprint. The energy savings produced by the solar panels in Telford have exceeded our expectations, and it’s wonderful to see how this is not just benefiting us but also the wider community.
When the solar panels were first installed on the roof of the Busch UK building, the project was expected to save approximately 34 tons of CO2 emissions per year. However, collected data has shown that already in 2022, a total of 111 tons of CO2 have been saved.
The energy costs decreased as well since the amount of energy produced accounted for two-thirds of the total electricity demand of the company. The community also profited, as the excess electricity produced by the panels over weekends was fed into the public grid.
