With the help of the vacuum pump, the pupils will be given a practical demonstration of the numerous possible applications of vacuum in order to awaken their interest in technical professions. Martial Courtet, Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of the Canton of Jura, emphasized the importance of the link between school and industry when the vacuum pump was handed over.
The donation is also a good example of the excellent cross-border cooperation within Busch Vacuum Solutions. Because the large, powerful vacuum pumps from Ateliers Busch are not suitable for use in the classroom, those responsible for Busch CZM agreed without hesitation to provide the school with a vacuum pump from the Czech production site.
The Collège de Delémont was founded in 1812 on Napoleon’s orders. Today, around 600 pupils from ten municipalities are taught at the school.
