The conditions are not optimal, to say the least: the Denver primary school, founded in 2011, is lacking space and resources. The school was actually designed for 700 children from underprivileged families. Today, however, 1354 children go there every day. The simple classrooms built into containers are filled with up to 62 children. Busch South Africa, whose office is one kilometer away from the school, wanted to improve the partly disastrous conditions there.

In 2018, with our help, five major projects took place to improve the lives of the children. A stage for school events and a wash basin for dishes were built. In addition, the children can now wait for the buses after school in a shelter with seats. One of the containers was converted into a lockable storage room to protect the lunch supplies from thieves. Finally, the pipes of the toilets were repaired.

In 2019, the Busch employees will continue to work actively to improve the living conditions of the children. Small campaigns such as making sandwiches or giving away socks and soccer balls are helping to make the children feel better. Larger projects such as the renovation of various classrooms are also planned.
