Busch USA Takes Up the Fight Against Breast Cancer with Charity Event

In 2016, employees of Busch plunged into the spirit of anti-cancer fundraising by organizing a "bake sale" and baked goods auction. Over $750 was raised at the event and donated to "Making Strides of Hampton Roads", a walking event that took place on 22 October, 2016. Busch USA is located in Virginia Beach, part of the Hampton Roads metropolitan area.

Additionally, $1,702 in raffle tickets were sold and donations made online. Along with coin collections in change jars and other fundraising, the total amount raised is almost $3,800.

"Making Strides" events date back to 1984 when a cancer survivor from Massachusetts organized a so-called "move-along-a-thon". This first event attracted 200 participants. Since these early days, 11 million walkers have taken part in Making Strides events, raising over $685 million to fight breast cancer.
