Our company history began with a sustainable idea. Dr Karl and Ayhan Busch had the vision of a world without hunger, with healthy, non-perishable foodstuffs for all people and no food waste.
To achieve this, they developed the first vacuum pump for vacuum packaging of food. Under vacuum, food is preserved longer and stays fresh and nutritious. The rest is history. Today, in grocery stores around the world, you can see that their sustainable idea has prevailed. And as the market leader, we have held the largest share in this area ever since.
