Walk for Parkinson’s Event
Every year, Busch UKM nominates a charity to support. This year, Parkinson’s UK was chosen. The decision was made based on very personal experiences with the disease, as the partner of one of our colleagues is affected.
Heather Jones, Product Manager at Busch UKM, recently received life-changing news. She learned that her partner, Tim, is suffering from Parkinson's disease. The couple decided to raise funds by walking 5.6 miles (about 9 km) at the Walk for Parkinson's 2023 in picturesque Marbury Country Park, in Northwich, Cheshire. Colleagues at Busch UKM were happy to support the charity drive:
We would like to thank all Busch UKM employees for your very generous support! We managed to raise 990 pounds (about 1135 Euro)! With the donations, better care can be funded, research breakthroughs can be driven, and one day a cure can be found.
The donated money went to Parkinson’s UK, the Parkinson’s Disease Society of the United Kingdom. The organization supports Parkinson's research and advocates for those affected.
