Being at the heart of the community has always been part of the Busch Family philosophy and endeavouring to raise money to help good causes is very important to us all at Busch (UK) Limited.
Our colleagues throughout the company select a different local or national charity to support each year. Some of the charities we have raised money for over the years include Hope House, Cancer Research UK, MacMillan Cancer Support, the Rainbow Trust, the Severn Hospice, and the children's ward at the Princess Royal Hospital.
Each year we organise a series of fundraising events and activities for our employees to participate in. These include coffee mornings, cake baking competitions, fitness challenges, golf days and even a 'Fun Fine' scheme - where our staff pay a nominal fine if they are late for a meeting or forget to turn off their mobile phones – all of which goes into our annual fund raising 'pot'.
Ironbridge Half Marathon
Playing a key part of our local community, the Ironbridge half marathon takes place every Spring and is attended by our team of runners.
We support this important annual charity and fund-raising event for Telford and Shropshire by sponsoring it for over 25 years. In 2018 the winner's trophy was renamed the Karl Busch Trophy.
In 2019 we teamed up with Haberdasher's Abraham Darby to compete in the Shropshire Star's STEM project. The STEM competition is an initiative to boost student engagement with the STEM subjects Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths whilst providing an insight into the world of industry.
