Electron microscopy
An electron microscope is capable of much higher magnifications than a light microscope, allowing the observation of smaller details in high-definition. The Zebra RH, in combination with a turbomolecular vacuum pump, is the ideal vacuum generator for this application and is commonly used in scanning electron microscopes (SEM) and transmission electron microscopes (TEM).

Mass spectroscopy
In mass spectrometers, vacuum guarantees that ions reach the detector not being deflected by collisions with oxygen molecules. Zebra RH rotary vane vacuum pumps ensure exact analysis results here.

Leak detection
Helium is commonly used to detect the leak rate in a vacuum installation. The Zebra RH can be installed in helium mass spectrometers to back a turbomolecular vacuum pump.
