Busch Group showcasing technologies for hydrogen and carbon capture processes at the Hydrogen and Carbon Capture Technology World Expo 2026

From October 20 to 22, 2026, the Busch Group will be showcasing technologies for applications in the hydrogen economy and carbon capture sector from its two brands Busch Vacuum Solutions and Pfeiffer Vacuum+Fab Solutions at the Hydrogen and Carbon Capture Technology World Expo in Hamburg.

The solutions exhibited are used in various process steps of hydrogen production, processing and use, as well as in carbon capture processes.

Efficient vacuum solutions for hydrogen and CO₂ applications

With the MINK MW 0332 A, Busch is showcasing a dry claw vacuum pump for industrial processes. The contact-free compression principle enables low-maintenance operation. In the hydrogen economy, for example, the vacuum pump is used in membrane filtration and gas processing. It also supports carbon capture applications, such as pump-down of adsorbers and desorption of CO₂ and water vapor.

Leak test module for various inspection tasks

Pfeiffer Vacuum+Fab Solutions is introducing the mobile leak test module OmniDetect for leak tests with helium and hydrogen/forming gas. The modular concept allows adaptation to different test tasks.

Pfeiffer also offers a solution for testing monopolar and bipolar plates. It can be integrated into existing production processes and enables short test cycles. It is used in both development and ongoing manufacturing.

Gas analytics for research and industrial applications

With the OmniStar GSD 350 mass spectrometer, Pfeiffer is presenting a solution for highly precise analysis of complex gas mixtures. The system detects even reactive and condensable components down to trace levels and makes changes in the gas composition visible during adsorption and regeneration processes. It therefore supports the development and evaluation of sorbents for carbon capture. It can also be used to investigate permeation processes in detail, thereby enabling the reliable characterization of the gas permeability of materials.

Hydrogen recirculation for efficient fuel cells

Another focus of the trade show booth are the MINK MH 0018 and MINK MH 0040 blowers for the recirculation of excess hydrogen in fuel cells. The dry claw technology operates contact-free and does not require any operating fluids in the compression chamber.

Thanks to their compact design, the blowers can be integrated into both stationary systems and mobile applications such as heavy-duty, maritime, rail and aviation uses. The volume flow can be adjusted to the respective operating conditions via a variable speed drive.
At Booth 4B45 in Hall B4, visitors will not only gain insights into solutions for vacuum generation, leak testing, gas analytics and hydrogen recirculation, they will also have the opportunity to speak to the experts on site and exchange information about current applications in the hydrogen economy and carbon capture.
